About AprÈs Mahjong
Our Mission
At Après Mahjong, we're all about bringing the fun, the flair, and the friendships to the table through our lessons, events, merchandise. We're on a mission to spread the love of American Mahjong throughout Utah blending cozy vibes, chic style, and après-game energy into every game we play. Whether you're a Mahjong pro or a total newbie, we're here to create a space where laughter, strategy, and a little bit of competitive spirit come together. Join us as we roll out the tiles, share the joy, and make Mahjong a social experience like no other.
Lesson Options
We teach American mahjong lessons to small groups of 4-16 players in Park City, Utah and its surrounding areas. If you are interested in a private lesson, we can arrange that as well.
First, our Intro Lesson 1 lasts around two hours and we bring everything for game play. Then, the Intro Lesson 2 takes 60-90 minutes to reinforce your first lesson and gain confidence with rules and strategies. Once you've completed those, join us for an Intermediate Lesson to learn more strategy, house rule options, and more.
Most of our clients prefer to throw a "party" where they invite friends to learn with them and we bring everything needed to teach, learn, and play.
We also have a rolling list of solo players who want to learn and we love to bring you all together for group beginner lessons.
In addition, we offer open play, tournaments, private events, and rentals.
